have you updated the card to the latest FlashROM upgrade? Have you also
pressed 'esc' during the bootup and played with the memory settings? Perhaps
your memory cant handle 60ns mode - and should be set to 70ns.
its quite normal to lose a few Mb of memory after booting. stuff will use
the FastRAM instead of ChipRAM and if you've got things like FastROM running
then that'll east up another 0.5Mb
