Yes it is, but it is expensive and inefficient... I suggest you do like I
did to the PPC cooler. I drilled a few holes in the both coolers, so that a
wire, isolated, can be sent though in an U shape and then swisted tight,
this makes very good connection between the two surfaces. The top of the
040 and the PPC cooler should have the same height, and it usually is, but
if one is shorter, I cannot see any thing agains putting a very thin piece
of aluminum in between the pentium cooler and the short one, as long as you
tighten it as much as you can.
Of course you cannot drill a hole in the 040 in order to tighten the cooler,
but what I have done here is sorta "freaky", just a few very solid pieces
of thread, put between the pins of the 040, going in at the one side and
out at the other, use this to wire it to the chip, most perfect would be
something a bit elastic, still not capable of leading electricity, cos this
will tighten it quite a bit...

Hope this can help, it works here after all. (and about those crashes I'm
talking about, they were there also before this operation, so it aint this
causing it)
