... what about altivec ? But even 300 MHz G3 would be really nice, though.
It can only get better, doesn�t matter what comes exactly ;)

and just imagine all the "outdated" voodoo1 and voodoo2 boards laying around
at the dealer�s boxes labelled "used", and noone really wants them anymore.
Drivers could be done very easy I think (just look at the linux code), and voodoo2
performance is not that bad, of course it reaches the end at 800x600 16 bit
(perhaps sli connection would be an option... ;) but after all it would be one
of the cheapest add-on solutions for owners of a current gfx-board. I would not
like to miss my permedia2-card, it was very expensive and surely there are many
others out there using plain 2d-cards for their workbenches.
