I said "especially when there is a lot of I/O and GUI". Number-
crunching software is an exception from the rule. ;)
Examples are: M.A.M.E., UAE, etc...
I must add that I didn't see this myself, but only heard it from
others (I prefer BSD over Linux). But it would be logical, because
those programs need a lot of context-switches.
