Subject: | Please someone help me... |
Hi,
A while ago I posted a request for help with two programs that look at the
serial port.
One does Caller Id and the other just looks for the modem.
I have since found a caller id program on Aminet, so I guess it is pointless
to continue with that line of thought - though it still could be handy to
see some working code.
Alas, I still have not heard from anyone about a program I can run to see if
the modem is there or not.
It is a simple (I guess) program that when run looks to see if the modem is
there or not. What it does is not that critical. It could either set
environment variables or something like that which other programs can use.
Could anyone please assist me with this?
The original way I was going to see if the modem was there is send an AT
command and see if I get an OK back. But I guess looking for DTR/DSR and
CTS/RTS signals could also be done.
Cya!
