Like you found out its slower. But thats cos it does the opposite of
what you thought (I think). You specify extra planes to blit as 1's,
so you can create different coloured blits without needing the
different coloured shapes stored in memory.

So you have a 2 plane shape in memory (4 colours) and you can then
blit different coloured copies of it by either using the origianl
version, or one with extra/other bitplanes set to 1.
