You ARE plugging your speakers into your CD player, right? Playing an
audio CD in the drive will NOT pass the sound through the amiga's sound
circuitry. You either have to plug the CD drive into a sound card
(pedant's note: or a picasso4's sound input) and plug speakers into
that, or you plug speakers/headphones into the socket on the front of
the CD drive.
