not many modems are supported via PCMCIA are they (most being WinModems) ?
as for USB... well, it'll be a BIG job to get those working...as once
you've got the USB part sorted out - the hot plug and play and
autoconfigurating that USB is all about, you'd then be deluged with
requests for all the types of devices that come as USB...hmm, ATAPI
drivers, keyboard driver, mouse drivers, camera drivers etc. the whole lot
would really be best put into an OS built from scratch.
