Hi Alan

The Telewest engineers left my house a few hours ago, having just fitted
mine :)

In short - it rocks!

Using one with an Amiga should in theory be no problem. Telewest supply the
Motorola SurfBoard SB4100 Cable Modem, which can be connected to a computer
using either a direct USB connection or a direct Ethernet connection (which
is how you would shackle it to your miggy). At present it is connected to my
Windows 2000 Server by means of an Ethernet link.

Also, as the Telewest service uses dynamic IP addressing, the cable modem is
not suitable for connection to a passive hub, although it will work fine
with an active one.

Sounds like NTL are offering the same modem as Telewest.

Exactly! Am not sure how I managed for so long with lust a dial-up at home.
