yes,yes, I tracked it down to two problems,

1.PSU(200W) - was faulty swapped with 250w works a treat now!

2. i had a unfixed 1.d.4 motherboard and i tryed a 2b as well
(unfixed) excatly the same problem!!, bought a new escom A1200; no
problems ever since.

p.s my power flyer gave me jip as well the bit that sticks on the
gayle chip keeps popping off!
