point taken...but almost ALL Linux stuff is documented in triplicate :-)

not really...only installed it handful of times...however i have helped
people a lot ;-)

getting X working as you did was actually the way to do it for XFree 3.x
- its the method that i believe is still documented in the APUS FAQ

(btw, FAQs dont magically update themselves...the reason why the APUS one
is so outdated now is that noones updated it - although several people
said they'd help only 5 lines have been submitted/edited in one year!)

XFree4.x precompiles from LinuxPPC may have problems with APUS. I'd be
happy if you could mail me in private if you come up against any problems.
(under debian you just do a 'apt-get dist-upgrade' with a test-site in
your APT list)

sure is! the '|' is readily accessible with standard Amiga US map... i
think its with shift-tilde or shift-/

..perhaps you want to read the 'how to make keymaps' document and give
yourself a bit of celebrity by supplying some contributions? :-)
