More efficient and safe to solder on a new half-port, perhaps?
It's what I would have done personally, but then my soldering
iron is as accurate as a shotgun (a very hot shotgun, of course).

I need to overclock my 060. 50MHz is too little.
I also seem to have very odd memory performance, which might
explain some oddities - isn't there some issue about mixing
SIMMs of different speeds? I have 2x new 16MB and 2x very old
4MB SIMMs. They all /claim/ to be 60ns. I'll have to remove
them and see if it helps.
