Subject: | Apollo 1260 problem |
Today I had a crash, and when I rebooted the fast memory was not visible
anymore.
I have taken out my Apollo 1260 to check the SIMM contacts etc.
I then noticed a part of the board which seems to be missing a surface mount
component.
I was wondering if anyone with easy access to an Apollo 1260 can confirm if
an resistor is missing in the following location....
On the reverse side of the board from the 68060 chip, between all the pins
are 3 rows of resistors.
TOP ROW
7 resistors....gap....1 resistor
MIDDLE ROW
9 resistors
BOTTOM ROW (suspected area!!!!!)
3 resistors....gap....blank position.....2 resistors.....blank
position......1 resistor
I believe the missing resistor is in the 2nd "blank position". It has GND
written just above it.
Can anyone confirm or deny this layout. Also if there is a resistor there,
what value is it?
Thanks for any help....Jeff
