Are you using IDE interface for CD and HD??? I use SCSI and don't have any times that high... Maybe about a minute or so to copy about 40MB cdda file from CD to HD. Try out the Speed test in MasterISO and it'll tell you if you hard drive is too slow... Although if it *is* too slow you'd be getting buffer underruns... Oh but you said it burns to CD ok, but copying from CD to HD is slow... Maybe try increasing the HD partition buffers??? Run Dashboard or similar CPU-load program and see if the CPU is working flat-out... Which, if I am correct, would indicate that the (IDE) HD is hogging too much CPU time.. Time for a faster HD???
