Hello Richard
I have the Handspring Visor Platinum and very good it is too. I chose it
over the Palm and the Handspring Prism for these reasons...
The Palm has to be recharged from the cradle, no good if you are on a
walking holiday or are away from your computer for long. This is the same
for the Prism.
I'm getting about a months life out of two AAAs at the moment and that's
using it nearly every day, it's the games that drain it.
With Black & White you get much longer battery life, I know programs look
better in colour but the games and stuff I have look fine in B&W.
The Handsprings come with OS 3.5.2H which is one of the most up to date as
far as I know.
I would like to get the GPS Springboard module.
It has a 33Mhz processor, twice as fast as the Palm.
It hotsyncs fine with my Hypercom 3+ board and the Spitfire software but I
believe Handsprings don't work with the native Amiga serial port whereas
Palms do.
The amount of software you can download is staggering, and it's fun as well.
Kind regards, Ady
