There are lots of things many people don't know about IE, that's why
it annoys me when people complain about it so much.

Doing everything IE does is *a* goal, there are others. First, being
stable at what it does might be nice (getting there as we speak :)

Your recollection is correct wrt timing, but Macromedia have nothing
to do with VFlash - it's entirely based on the Linux flash plugin by
Oliver Debon (who writes some lovely Flash builders too :) with no
help or file format info from Macromedia.

How many times to people have to tell you this is BULLSHIT. They don't
give you a thing that would facilitate writing a player.

Flash is perfectly fast on 68k (ahem, 68060 :) if you have a graphics
card. Lesser platforms have been seen to run flash anims :P
