Subject:OS3.9 PPC problem?

Hi all,

Does anyone have problems with PPC programs since upgrading to OS3.9?
I have been having lock up problems for weeks, and after thinking it was both a: my A1200 and b: my Flyer and pretty much having ruled both of them out, I'm left thinking it is a problem with WarpUP5.0 as installed by OS3.9.

I get locking up problems seemingly at random, though I have managed to get a few to repeat themselves...
The situations that seem to cause a more than likely lock up are: Closing IBrowse (just as the 'writing cache' message appears), running SongPlayer and having it play an MP3 (I'm using the WarpUP MpegA library) and also trying to play a MPEG video with Frogger.
This doesn't always happen, but the latter two points make me think it is a PPC issue.

Bizarrely, I often get problems when using WB icon 'Information' from the WB menu. I often get immediate lock ups as soon as I release the mouse button from 'Information'.

I wouldn't mind so much, but since installing my Flyer Gold I have only been able to reset by either using a program I have - 'boot' (only any good when the computer *isn't* locked! :-D ) and if it does lock the only other thing I can do is a complete switch off and on again. :-(
On a related point, why won't my Amiga reset with the reset cable of my tower connected to the reset pins of the Flyer? All that happens is an IDE device reset (the LED's flash) but the computer just locks up.

I'm tearing my hair out ATM! :-D

Regards,

Steven Holmes
