Subject: | A1200 Quaddddroport & serial/parallel i/f's |
Hello folks,
In my A1200 I have a Quaddddroport attached by cable to the clock port,
(because I have a Power Flyer on stilts installed + a BVision gfx card) then
a IOBlix 1200 P on port 1, and a PowerPortJn on the G port.
Attached to the 1200 P is a scanner.
Recently my scanner wasn't recognised by ScanQuix, (port 1 not available), I
have also tried the 1200 P on port 2 of the Q'port, same error (port 2).
I have run the Test_Board util that came with them, and that tells me I have 0
boards installed. :(
I have never got the PowerPort Jnr to work on the Q'port.
Right, now the questions.
1. How can I tell that it is the 1200 P that has gone tits up, rather than
the Q'port, without ripping everything appart to attach it directly
to the clock port?
2. If the parallel card has failed, I would rather get a combined
parallel/serial card and do away with the Q'Port, because I
don't really like the board on board idea, (makes the connections come
loose to easily).
3. If I have to get a new card is there a combined parallel/serial card
for the 1200's clockport? all I could see in the mag was for the
Zorro type. And the parallel i/f MUST support my Mustek 600 CP
scanner.
ATM I am a bit muddled :)
Best Wishes,
