The texturemaps are saved as pictures, what engine the program doesn't
make any difference (except for the maximum colour depth / resolution
etc.)

Well, unless you're lazy and don't want to have to convert their
format :)

(or a single texture in a game is really a mix to two using
transparency, aka Zelda64's grass)

PS. I think you'll find the Quake3 engine is just /slightly/ different
to Quake1's ;)
