Subject: | A4000 fastram woes |
Hi,
I have rev. b A4000 (Buster 11, with an A3640 card) that fails to
recognise any SIMMs I put on the motherboard, in any socket :( It
worked fine until last week, but now it reports no fastram
whatsoever. I also get a yellow screen on bootup if I have a SIMM in
bank 0 (the chipram SIMM is working fine).
I've heard about the sockets breaking and causing bad connections,
but I've checked and they seem OK to me (that's not to say that
there's nothing wrong with them, though).
I'd be very grateful if someone can shed some light on the problem.
Thanks,
Neil Caunt
