The error code means "Memory insane" - probably the memory list for
that task only has been corrupted. I'm a bit surprised it's
recoverable, but that's why I say "for that task only".
Normally that would result from faulty software, but since you're
using a system task (moving files) I'd suspect maybe a memory chip
isn't properly seated, and I suggest checking that. I don't think
you say what Amiga you're using. The simms memory on a 4000 can
unseat if not properly clipped in, and the clips are small and
fragile. I ran for 6 months with one end of a simms unclipped
before I happened to notice it. I'm not familiar with the A1200.
I wonder if some other software you used previously has damaged the
exec memory map. Diagnostics like Enforcer or Mungwall might show
something.
Have you a lot of software running at the time? What about your
usual stack size? Type "stack" in a shell window to find out. (But
this will only tell you what's used for that shell.)
