Yes, I do that, with similar subject headings. I wait for a rainy
day when I've nothing more useful to do and I settle down with a
coffee pot and biscuits handy.

I have 2 categories of kept mail and newsgroups. The smaller is
email I've filtered at the time of reception, and I seldom
spring-clean that. But most of my kept stuff is copied as ASCII
into the category drawers and then deleted from the database. The
only editing I do is to run an arexx utility I wrote which removes
unwanted headings such as message ID, path, etc etc. I usually
keep From:, Subject:, Date:, and Newsgroup:. I use Dopus to mark a
group of files I want to prune in this way, and then start my
pruner. It's not really very effective as I've not tried to prune
signatures, Yahoo adverts and suchlike. But any such that are
consistently identifiable could easily be added to the pruner.
