While it works, yes... Their life is decreased 10fold the moment you take
them out�of the box >;) (I have one; I absolutely hate it)

I tried to put a Seagate branded Travan on my CSPPC. It really really really
caused problems on the bus, even at the end. I figured it'd be nearly
worthless on a GVP SCSI-1 (I was right). I scrapped it and use MakeCD an an
external Yamaha 4416 CDRW to make my backups.

I remember a question along these lines before; the prognosis at the time
was 'doubtful'. This may have changed, tho.
