If it were only a second. It takes *far* longer than that. Each reset scans
the IDE and/or SCSI bus and all this takes quite a long time, long enough
not to want it more than on the original switch on.

Apart from accessing larger HDs (which I don't have) what advantage *is*
there for the resets ?

True I did find the Amiga slow when I first got it, adding a hard drive
helped though. Previously I had a home built comoputer (Powertran Cortex)
and all my commonly used software was on a home made Eprom board. Much
faster :o)
Isn't one of the Amiga's strong points supposed to be its quick boot time.
It isn't any more it's getting as bad as any PC.
