I repaired a satellite decoder for a friend a while back which broke down
when it was unplugged... It was plugged in for about 4 years non-stop, but
he unplugged it for a short while and it never started up again. Turned out
a big capacitor had died in the PSU, and once it turned off it coultn't
power back up again... Replaced the cap and all is well again :)
Regards,
Rob
