I've networked my A4000 to a PC laptop using a X-Surf on the Amiga and
a CNet CN40 PCMCIA card adaptor on the PC.
I got the whole lot from EyeTech, and they throw in their excellent
networking software, which gives good HTML instructions on setting up
the PC side, and installs the network and Samba with about five mouse
clicks on the Amiga side.
You do need a TCP/IP client, either Miami or Gemesis works fine, and
the installer asks which one you want to use.
I had the whole thing up and running in very short order, and it is
very useful.
Not only that, but now I get to FRAG people at our
Amiga user-group networked game sessions! ;)
