Hi Ralph
I use BTs 24/7 with my Amiga/PC and its ok just ok using an 0800 number .
No Quake3 servers but my pings about 160-220 the e-mail servers are ok (I do
not use news). I also have a freeserve account using the
0845 Number pay you go which can get busy but the mail is faster than bts
and the web space works more often ftp access is good.
The web space on bt is Cr** slow and the virtual domans do not work very
often.
Eg mine is http://www.amigailike.btinternet.com/index.html (theres a CB
site there at the mo which i was building for a mate please do not go
there). Where as http://www.btinternet.com/~amigailike works some of the
time ftp access is ok when the system is not busy. I use bti because you can
pay by credit card and I can end it when I want to. My brother had a
nightmare with freeserve with bt charging him by the minute when he was
using surftime.
