This doesn't sound like an AmigaOS error message to me. Check in your
startup-sequence or user-startup to see if you've anything in there which is
trying to play a sample which it can't find.

The fact you can't play wavs or MP3s may be because something like Play16 has
locked up on bootup, and won't release the audio.device channels for anything
else to use. { I am happy to be corrected here if I'm out technically:-) }
