Check the motherboard to see if the clock battery has leaked and damaged
it. This isn't such a big risk with an A2000 as with an A4000, because
the layout is more sensible, but it's still a risk. You can get a
replacement battery from Maplin.

Press all chips firmly into their sockets.

Take out all Zorro cards and try to get it to display the "Put In A
Disk" animation. Then try a Workbench floppy (suitable for whatever ROM
version it has).

Then try the Octagon, and finally the RAM card.
