Reminds me of a story told by Johnny Morris, who was the BBC "Zoo
man" for many years (around 1950 I think). It's my favourite
"quickie" joke.
"I once had a job on a poultry farm. I had to take the cockerel
round to charge up the battery hens. One of them died from terminal
ecstacy."
