Subject:Ghostscript headache

Hi There,

Trying to get Ghostscript to work properly is becoming a real nightmare.

I got some PDF files off someone who loves taking the piss out of my amiga,
with Email he sent them on saying "You might want to read this on your PC".
Wanting to make him eat his words, I've tried running the files here.
Reading them with APDF works faultlessly escpecially when I changed all the
fonts to truetype ones. But I need a postscript printer to print the docs
properly, so I thought I'd try to get ghostscript running.

To be honest I have never got my printer (HP 610C) running properly, the
colour is always wrong, the borders never set properly and the resolution
always looks wrong. But I thought I'd give it a go.

Anyways, the main problem is Ghostscript won't run hardly anything, I can
get a couple of the examples running (but not all of them). Wordworth
outputs are read, but come up with font errors, PPaint output doesn't work
at all, Ibrowse is currently being sorted out (Thanks Oliver for pointing
out that file to me), but most importantly APDF starts working loading up
the font files, but then stops.

Although it would be far easier to pop the PDFs on disk and stick them on
Acrobat on the PC downstairs and print it off there, it's the principle of
the whole thing.

Can any one give my any help at all?

See Ya,

Andy "Evil" Hall
