That seems to be the problem most people have had. Using AACD17 I can get as
far
as the penguin in the top left corner and a flashing cursor ( a boot from
the ram image )
but the installation goes no further than that.

I'd try that, if I had a CD-R. ;-) I've ordered the full set of CD's now
anyhow.
