napster et al (Limewire, gnotella etc etc) all offer limiting services
iirc. ie if you dont offer file(s) then others can decide if you can d/l
from them or not. ie have 3 mp3's in your shared drawer and other sites
will let you take. its all part of the 'share culture' - a method
to try to gether even more momentum and file-space.
