Irseesoft responded to my similar question, saying
that drivers for the 2880 dpi Epsons should be
ready in a few weeks. You will need to buy the
latest upgrade...I got mine from softhut.com...
in the mean time I tried older ones, and the 600
driver worked at 1440x720 on my 777.
