Which at least tells you you're not about to be sent off to some other
site that's bound to pop up loads of adverts when you least expect it.

Which you'd presumably know was where you were going from the
page you'd just been reading.

Still, it could be worse. I won't get started on scrolling messages in the
status bar. ;)
