I've just been experimenting with Freewheel prefs and this problem is
solved by disabling the keypresses option, which dosen't seem to
effect the mousewheel working with any of the programs I use.
The same problem occurs with Final Writer, I could correct it
by disabling 'Prop Gadgets' but this also stopped the mousewheel
working:(
