This is a reply to a message from Andy Hall.
Subject: [amigactive] Cinema 4d animation:
Hello Andy,
I can remember ages ago playing with options to distort an object
> over time (explosions, and stuff like that).
I'm no way an expert, but I had a play with this effect this morning and the
following may help.
Assuming you have done your basic Keyframe animation and rendered it;
First it is advisable to activate the object you wish to explode, and
subdivide it a few times to ensure plenty of fragments.
Then go menus; Window/TimeLine. Click on the required object *With right
mouse button*. On the right
of this window are a selection of options, the last of which is effect (You
may have to scroll down). In the time section of the window and on the
effects line click once at the required start time of the effect and again
at the finish time of the effect. A requester will come up with various
options the first of which is explosion. Click OK and again in the next
requester to use default settings for first go. You can experiment later.
Now render animation again, play and see how it looks.
Hope this helps, Good luck.
You can email me privately if you wish as I have a full version plus the
manual, which is where I got all this from. Never did it before!
