I registered my domain name with a company called 'FreeDomNames'
(http://www.freedomnames.co.uk). I was given a free '.co.uk' domain name
when I sighed up (free) to the 'ConnectFree' ISP.
How it worked was like this.
I filled out thier forms online from thier website.
I then had to phone a 'PREMIUM' rate phone number which lasted about 5
minutes. Waited a few days, and that was it. All I have to do is use
thier '0845' low-call phone number once a quarter and I can keep the domain
name. The only thing you don't get with this service is any sort of 'cgi'
script stuff, so all I did was link to the 'cgi' scripts on another website
I was given with my originl ISP.
Have a look about. Don't pay anymore than £10-£20 a year for then name.
