Ah DVD players! Great fun but one word of advice. If you can insure the
bugger, do so! Theft isn't the problem, breaking the remote control though!
My DVD cost me £350 but replacing the remote would cost £300!!!!
Don't ask my why that is, all I know is that with a heavy drinking clumsy
landlord I took out the insurance!
Then there's the ability to skip through any part of a film apart from the
boring intro! Multi camera angles? Haven't found one that supports it yet!
Picture and sound quality though......brill! Slow motion is unreal and the
zoom function is good for the gory bits! <gg>
Foreign films with either Brit soundtracks or subtitles are a great idea!
Anyone want to lend me 'Das Boot'?
With the onset of widespread digital TV, a DVD with a CDR has to be the next
step! I can't wait..........if only I could skip the boring intros!
