Yeah, DiskValid isn't really all that good at fixing errors like this.
Once they occur they tend to keep reoccurring. The only solution I've
found is to reformat the disk. Copy everything to a CD / Zip / other
partition and format that partition.

What's on the partition where you're getting the errors? Is YAM on
that partition? Or your browser caches? Try increasing the number of
buffers on that partition to 500 or so, I've found this helps to
prevent these kind of errors (and it was what was recommended to me by
Mr Hoekstra of Greed when I first encountered this problem).
