Subject:Red Expansion Boards screen - defective xsurf

Hello all,

I turned my miggy (A1200T, OS39) on this morning and it came up with a red
expansion boards screen all by itself...

My X-Surf card is defective! :( It was working fine yesterday afternoon as
I was browsing the net with the PC using the Amiga's modem, but then the
miggy crashed, and I tried to start ethernet again and it said "Miami Deluxe
is unable to open MNI driver 'MIAMI:MNI/Z2-dp8390.mni' unit 300".

Why does everything I buy either not work, or stop working a few months down
the track?!

Looks like I'll have to buy another x-surf... Unless it could be claimed
under warranty? I'll contact the company I bought it off and check with
them. The only thing I have done to the Amiga (which couldn't have caused
it, surely!) is relocate the 18GB SCSI Seagate Barracuda drive and it's fan
to the bottom of the tower case... If anything, the XSurf card would now be
running cooler as the fan is also blowing onto it whereas before it wasn't.

Regards,
Richard.
