I think this is related to the MacPatch setting in the early startup
menu of the PPC board. (Press escape when booting).

Only tested with 40.68
I believe you need MacPatch enabled for the PrepareEmul to work
correctly, I've not tried it myself though, perhaps someone can
elaborate/correct me if I'm wrong.
