what are the errors reported with hd3 (the HD partition)? Was it just
complaining about it not cleaning unmounted? I assume hda3 is to be your
root partition under Linux (aka DH2: under AmigaOS if it were an AmigaOS
partition)

detail several methods that solve the problem
