I can't say for sure about a CDRW, but I am using 2 SCSI3 HD's on my A3000's
SCSI1 interface. So I would say that with the proper connector converter
there would be no problem.

Special cable, no. But I had to get a little PCB that plugs into the SCSI3
connector on the drive and has a SCSI2 connector for the SCSI cable to
connect to.

I found my Yamaha 4416s on EBay.
