Subject: | Mimeprefs |
Hiya all...
Got a query regarding Mimeprefs..
I have just been playing with the various viewers. I am experimenting with
the lha mime type and using dopus_dclick to make it open a DOpus window
containing the file archive listing. Following me so far? goood :-)
Right, so I thought great I will use this instead now so that I can have a
quick peak in the archive when I download it and also get it saved to the
correct place on my hard disk. Now as usual something has to go wrong:-/
I set the lha mimetype to 'save and view' and set the directory to
'Downloads:+New-Stuff+' (where all my new downloads go strangely enough!) -
Problem is though, the Save and view option only seems to half work - it
views, but doesnt save it to disk :-( (well not where I want it saving)
(Viewer set to C:dopus_dclick %f )
Anyway, I thought no matter, I will just make a little dos script that takes
the file name as a argument when I download it, view the file and then copy
the file from where it stores it (in the web cache directory) over to my
Downloads:newstuff directory. This is where I hit my second problem! When
the file is downloaded it doesnt keep its file name! instead it is renamed
to VViewTemp.#? So I need to be able to rename the file back to what it was
and then copy it over. (the files name and path is stored in the
VViewTemp.#? Comment though)
Any ideas how to do it anyone? (If I have not confused you all along the
way!)
Thanks for any advice,
Sam Thomas
