Not sure what revision mine is, or if the revision makes a difference,
but I thought they all worked like that (my B1260 is from 94/95).
One thing I noticed when I briefly had a keyboard interface was that
holding down the key wasn't enough (didn't send out a stream of "2"
characters or didn't register that it was held down after reset or
something), I had to repeatedly press it, during reset and for a short
time afterwards. Maybe something to try.
