Sh*t, long story. You know the problems I have had with SC2K, well they were
all fixed with the patch off the Aminet:)
Here's the interesting bit. Just as I was putting the disks into their box I
dropped the bluddy lot on the floor and out tumbled 3 more install disks I'd
forgotten I had. Now to cut this story short there are several revisions of
SC2K and I had installed an old one (v0.037) which has a bug in the screen
mode selector and which the patch fixes.
Had I installed from the other set of disks which is v1.03 this has no
problems and AFAIAA the patch has no effect on it as it's already fixed :))
I remember now buying a set of SC2K disks for 50p in a car boot sale and
thinking that at that price they would be handy as back up disks:)
Little did I know that they were a much older revision of the game and where
to give me so much grief and frustration upon re-installing the game at a
later date ;)
Kind Regards
