Sort of right. You`ll need one of the older Athlons (non-thunderbird). The
Durons and TB Athlons are socketed, and I`ve yet to see anyone advertising a
convertor :/.
So be sure to buy a slot A Athlon, which seem to be becoming rarer,

I`m becoming more and more impressed with AMD as a company. They seem to
supply good quality trouble free CPUs at keener prices than Intel.

Or try somethink like Micromart small ads. For cpus slower than 750-800 Mhz
you may find a second hand bargain :)
