Subject:OS3.5 and AWeb colours

Greets,

I recently installed OS3.5 on my A3000, as an 'trial' before putting
it on my main Amiga 4000. The 3000 is a non-AGA machine.

On loading AWeb3.4 I found that the little navigation icons in the
top right-hand corner are now very washed out with only about 4
colours showing. I've checked AWeb settings and it's using (Program
settings) PAL Hires "Colours", "Own public screen". Selecting
"Workbench" as the selected screen makes no observable difference.
In the Palette settings all the options are ghosted, but it appears
to be using only 4 colours, repeated in the several boxes for 'pens'.
My main Workbench prefs are PAL Hires with 16 colours, the maximum
offered.

I'm sure I'm missing out on something simple.

Apart from that, I can't say I'm excited by OS3.5. Indeed I haven't
noticed much difference from 3.1, apart from some revolting drive
icons which I've replaced with the ones I had before. I _like_ a
picture of a disk or a drawer :-) I've looked at the specs for 3.9
and decided it's not for me. I don't do graphics (like I don't do
mornings), and I don't play music on my Amiga, so the claimed
advantges leave me cold. Courses for horses :-)
