I understand that the thing NOT to do is mix the two types of DIMM chips.
One may well cancel out the other or neither may work! (So I was told)
My step son was trying to run Windows 98 with an 8 Meg DIMM.
To avoid losing what was already installed I had to get the extra memory at
the same 66Mhz bus speed. Hence the second hand PC 66 DIMM (64 Meg).
